David Hoff is a two-time Paralympic Gold Medal-winning coach of the United States Men’s Sled Hockey Team, which captured gold in 2018 in Pyeong Chang, South Korea and in 2022 in Beijing, China. The United States team, coached by Hoff, has also won the World Championships in the sport on three occasions, with victories in 2019, 2021, and 2023. In January of 2022, David was named the 2022 United States Paralympic Coach of the Year by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee. He has spent the last 35 years as a high school teacher and coach in North Dakota, with the first 30 years as a mathematics teacher, hockey coach, track & field coach, and athletic director at Bottineau High School. He is a four-time North Dakota High School Coach of the Year and a two-time finalist for National High School Coach of the Year. David is currently a mathematics teacher and assistant track & field coach at Rolette High School, and continues to coach the US Paralympic Sled Hockey Team, preparing for the 2026 Paralympic Games in Milan, Italy.
